The virtual Troika to be available in Samsung Pay
The Troika virtual transport card will be available to the Samsung Pay mobile payment service. This is a pilot project for smartphone users of this brand, the press service of the Department of transport reports.
"Both Face Pay and the virtual Troika are additional features that, we are sure, will become very popular. The Mayor of Moscow has set a task — to launch as many convenient ways of paying for travel in Moscow transport as possible, so we are developing contactless payments. Their demand is growing every year. The support of the virtual Troika in Samsung Pay is step in this direction", -said Maksim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport.
He also noted that in 2020, when passenger traffic in the metro decreased by 37%, payment by contactless methods increased.
