Only by the “Moskva” train. On the purple metro line, all trains were replaced

The train fleet renewal is completed at the Line 7 of the Moscow Metro. Now only the new- generation trains «Moskva» are running on one of the most popular metro lines of the Russian capital.

The Deputy Mayor of Moscow for transport Maksim Liksutov noted that this is the third line where only modern «Moskva» trains operate. Previously the train appeared at the Lines 4 and 15.

«The first train „Moskva“ was launched at the Line 7 more than three years ago, in April 2017. Since then, the new train has gradually replaced the cars of the Еж-3 and EM508T series. Now, old cars are sometimes used on the line, but only as a reserve. Regularly all passengers are served with 89 „Moskva“ trains», — shared Maksim Liksutov.

In total about 200 innovative trains carry the passengers of the Moscow Metro at the Lines 1, 4, 6, 7, 8A, 11 and 15. Experts estimate that every fourth subway passenger travels by a new train.

The modern «Moskva» train has a walk-through passage and wider doorways. It is convenient for low-mobility passengers, as it is equipped with special places for wheelchairs. Moreover, it offers USB-chargers for gadgets and touchscreens for route planning on-the-go.

Passengers’ safety is always a priority. That is why all trains of the Moscow Metro are regularly disinfected to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Over 2000 employees carry out cleaning and disinfection of all the stations’ platforms every day. All surfaces are washed every 1-2 hours. At night, the entire passenger area is treated with hot air generators. At the stations, sanitizers are available. What is more, all metro platforms are marked to help passengers maintain a social distance.
