The Department of Transport and Development of Road and Transport Infrastructure of Moscow announced the beginning of recording cars' movement through parking spaces using road cameras. This measure was introduced since drivers try to avoid the traffic jam through an empty parking pocket, and then wedge into a row, creating obstacles and dangerous situations on the road.
A video fixing the offenders' car driving throughout the lot without parking will be attached to the fine for a different evidence base.
Now the camera records violations in one problem area in the south-west of Moscow (Kosygin st., 7).
There are currently 2,627 stationary, 59 movable, and 173 mobile complexes for automatic traffic violations recording operating in Moscow. Another 107 cameras are installed on city buses.
