In 2020, Moscow had the most extended cycling season of all time of bicycle rental operation

This year, the bike rental operation was extended for one month - until the end of November. Since the beginning of the year, the Muscovites have made 5.7 million trips on rented bikes - 700 thousand trips more than last year.

Bike rental helps to solve transportation problems, allowing safer and more comfortable riding. We can see that the bike is indeed becoming one of the most favorite vehicles, so if we are lucky with the weather next year, we will open the bike rental earlier.

During the pandemic, bike rentals were also helpful to the city. From April 10th to May 31st, bicycle rentals were operating for free, but only for couriers and volunteers. Usually, the season starts at the end of April. Still, this year the Department of Transport decided to launch the rental earlier so that couriers and volunteers could help us all during the quarantine. During the first week, they have made over 16 thousand trips. From June 1st, the bike rentals were opened for everyone.

One hundred thirty-three new bike rental stations have appeared this year, which is almost 20% of the total number. A total of 662 points were operating in Moscow this season.
