Troika card goes personalized
Passengers of Moscow Metro can now receive a personal Troika card with their photo and name. Troika users can do it via Moscow Metro mobile app, in Moscow Metro’s gift shop or on its website (shop.mosmetro.ru). Passengers have the opportunity to choose one of nine design options; their number will constantly grow. In order to save the card balance, Troika owners can transfer the money from their older card via Moscow Metro app. More than 1000 passengers have already applied for their individual Troika card in just one week.
Since November 2020, passengers can manage their Troika cards via Moscow Metro app by linking it to their personal account. Among the new features, there is auto top-up service, low balance notifications and money transfers between user’s cards.
