KAMAZ, a Russian manufacturer of vehicles, trucks and engines, presented the first electric bendy bus in Russia. So, innovative eco-friendly transport gets even more spacious!
The first articulated electric bus in Russia, KAMAZ-6292, was prepared for test operation at the NEFAZ factory, a subsidiary of KAMAZ. It accommodates 135 passengers and has 48 seats. In the near future such vehicles will enter the busiest routes. The electric bendy bus is expected to go into serial production by the end of this year.
«We are very proud to be pioneers in the development of electric buses. We have created the first electric bendy bus and very soon we are planning to transfer a new vehicle to Moscow for testing», – shared Sergey Kogogin, the General Director of KAMAZ.
“The innovative articulated electric bus, like its predecessors, has a high performance and recharges energy with ultra-fast charging stations – this helps to reduce the amount of harmful emissions in the atmosphere. For Moscow, the availability of modern, spacious and economically viable transport is the most important condition for improving the environmental situation ", – added Maksim Liksutov, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport.
