The Passenger Mobility Centre of Moscow Metro has won the international Communitas Awards, reports the city’s Department of Transport. The Centre was recognized for the Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility.
The Communitas Awards was founded in 2010 and is given for excellence in philanthropy or ethical, sustainable business practices. In different years, the list of winners included Toyota, MasterCard, Dow Chemical, Honeywell and others.
The Passenger Mobility Centre of Moscow Metro was founded in 2013 to provide low-mobility passengers with support on the infrastructure of the metro, MCC and MCD. Since November 2020, the Center has been operating on trams and buses as well. More than 1 million passengers have already used the service.
