The On the Way mobility-on-demand service is launched in the 5th district of the New Moscow

The On the Way service – the first mobility-on-demand transport service in Russia – has become available for the residents of the 5th district of the New Moscow.

The second stage of the On the Way service was launched on Monday, November 1 in the New Moscow district. The service has become available for the residents of Ryazanovskoe settlements in Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative districts. Today more than 20 thousand people were given an opportunity to use the first Russian mobility-on-demand service and to reach the Silikatnaya MCD station.

Personalized transportation doesn’t depend on a schedule and allows passengers to build flexible routes. The system of the service is quite simple: the user calls the bus through the Moscow Transport application, indicates departure and destination points, and receives a message with coordinates of the nearest place of order. The arrival of the bus is carried out within half an hour. The number of bus stations was also increased thanks to the extended work area of the service. Moreover, the quantity of virtual stations is also increased by 15 to make service easier and faster.

«We see that Moscow citizens like the mobility-on-demand service. We carefully read, work through all the ideas and collaborate with passengers on their suggestions. That is why we decided to launch the second stage of the service for the residents of the Ryazanovskoye settlement. Now more than 20 thousand people will be able to use mobility-on-demand service On the Way and to get to the Silikatnaya MCD station and back. Moreover, we also increased the number of buses by 15 cars. The development of the On the Way service is relevant, especially during the pandemic, when it is extremely important to drive safely around the city», —said Maksim Liksutov, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport.
