The Moscow Metro adds parking payment service and wins the RB Digital Awards 2022

The Moscow Metro launched parking payments service in the Moscow Metro application, reports the Department of Transport of Moscow. The new feature operates in testing mode and allows users to pay for parking on the streets of the city.

«The launch of the parking payment in the Moscow Metro app will help metro passengers, who occasionally use a car, to save their time. Now, you can plan any route, buy a ticket for a long-distance bus, pay fares, and now pay for parking with the help of one convenient application», - said Maksim Liksutov, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport.

Moreover, the Moscow Metro app received the national RB Digital Awards 2022 in the Logistics and Transport category.The prize is given to companies and organizations that successfully use technology in business.

The application has already been recognized as the best among 2500 applicants in the App for Government category at the international AVA Digital Awards 2021 in Dallas, Texas.

«On the instructions of the Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, we launch convenient digital services and create a comfortable interaction between residents and the city. The Moscow Metro app plays an important role in solving this problem: on the basis of the app, we were among the first in the world to launch new digital projects such as the Face Pay and the Virtual Troika, with the help of which Moscow citizens can pass the turnstile in the metro without cash, transport or bank cards. And these services have not only made travel on the urban transport more convenient and faster, they have also been praised by experts in Russia and around the world», - said Maksim Liksutov, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport.
