The results of the latest monitoring shows that the Moscow surface public transport passengers are highly satisfied with the convenience of the innovativeticketing system, entry and exit, and the cleanliness of bus and electric bus interiors. Moreover, the majority of passengers consider daily trips on buses and electric buses to be safe. Passengers particularly note the high-speed validators and sound information in the cabin, which makes trips on the public transport even more convenient.
Priorities for improving the quality of the surface public transport now include improving the punctuality of transport and reducing travel time by optimizingroutes and the convenience of the route network.
Moreover, Moscow citizens highly appreciate the opportunity to use electric buses as it is the eco-friendly alternative to the other modes of public transport. The electric bus is an environmentally friendly form of urban transport. In 2021 the use of electric buses has reduced the amount of harmful emissions into the atmosphere by more than 30 thousand tons. Replacing a diesel bus with the electric one reduces CO2 emissions by 60.7 tons per year. The increase in the number of electric buses would allow to reduce emissions by 86 thousand tons in 2022.
