A series of meetings (in the form of a road show) for manufacturers is planned to be held in the Moscow in July.
“In 4 to 5 years we plan to build from 30 to 40 kilometers of cable cars, which will be small but extremely important elements for the convenience of transportation for many Moscow residents. The first stage of the project was implemented in Moscow in 2018: a passenger aerial cable way was built connecting Vorobyovy Gory to the Luzhniki sports complex. Besides, at the moment, the city is implementing a project to create cable car from the Skhodnenskaya metro station to the Rechnoy Vokzal metro station, which will provide transportation to several Moscow districts in addition to the existing system of urban transport” – said Deputy Mayor of Moscow for transport, Maxim Liksutov.
MosTransProekt Institute prepared the Concept of organization of cable transport in the capital city taking into account various objects of interest in the territory of the Moscow Region. Within the framework of the Concept, about 10 options of cable cars were proposed that provide transport links between major places of interest, where other types of transport are not sufficient or there is a need to organize additional transport services.
At the moment, proposed options for the organization of aerial cable transport are being further developed, as well as the economic component of their operation is being evaluated.
We invite representatives of manufacturers and operators for cooperation.
