Moscow Metro listed among Forbes' top-25 employers for women
Short-list of 25 nominees had been drafted by Forbes Woman. Percentage of women in the total company employees, wage, career possibilities and other indicators were considered while drafting this rating.
With the total number of about 60,000 employees, over 21,000 are women. Since 2011, this number has only increased by 20% - in 2011, Moscow Metro employed about 17,400 women.
Women’s occupations vary from technical and engineer specialists and control dispatchers to customer service specialists and top managers.
From 2021, women will be able to work as a subway train driver, prestigious and well-paid job. Subway train driver position will become available at Moscow Metro as soon as the still running prohibition will be lifted.
